It is not unusual for some to frown when one talks about prophecy in front of children. You’re likely to hears words such as…

“That’s very unfair to the child. Why rob them of any hope for their future.”

The pre-supposition in this reaction is that the world or the Earth will be destroyed before the child has had the opportunity to “live and enjoy their life”.

This is understandable, given the graphic nature and the implied imminence of the apocalyptic pronouncements of some preachers, and lately, even by social commentators and futurist.

But this pre-supposition is False. Even Apocalyptic prophecies include a time frame for the events that will occur. The Christian Bible, for example, indicates that the events will cover a period of about 1000 Earth years (i.e. including the period known as the Millennium*).

Given the time frame involved, it follows that any child listening will have more than ample time to grow up, enjoy and learn from their current life on Earth. In fact, the estimated time frame of 1000 years for the full unfolding of events is enough to accommodate up to 10 earth lives, or more, through incarnations on Earth.

However, the prophecies also make it clear that only those who have shown the sincere wish to change and learn will be allowed into the extended period. ALL others will be excluded and will NOT be allowed future incarnations on Earth, after their departure from this Earth (i.e., when they die!).

But, this does not mean that we have plenty of time

It is also important to state that the real purpose of prophecy is to stress to man the importance and urgent need to change our evil ways.

Therefore, it is just as important for children to become aware of this demand early in their incarnation on earth. So that they may bear that in mind before beginning, or resuming, adult life with bad karma attracting tendencies and behaviors.

From the lecture “The significance of man's generative power” in the book “In The Light of Truth”, by Abdrushin we read that quote”

"No one on earth today is a child in spirit.

But already for a long time, in the natural course of events, it is impossible for any soul to embark upon its first incarnation on this earth. Instead, souls were incarnated which have wandered through at least one life on earth before. Thus they come grievously burdened with much and diverse karma at birth."

Therefore, the spirit in the child is just as old, if not older than the spirit in the grown up.

Wishing to protect that spirit in the child from hearing the important messages in prophecy, especially when they are approaching adolescence, is a great disservice to them. They too need to know this and prepare themselves in order to take advantage of the opportunities for spiritual redemption and development offered by their present incarnation on Earth.

So, how does a child avoid picking up or continuing with bad-karma attracting ways?

First, the parent or adult responsible for raising or educating the child has the greatest influence.

These adults can help place the child’s foot on the Spiritual path that they are likely to follow as an adult. If well directed, the child, as an adult, is more likely to shun evils ways. If badly directed, the opposite is more likely to occur, unless he or she comes across a correcting influence later on along its path

Regardless, All Spirits gain immediate access to a vital Spiritual Power as they develop into adolescence.

The Grail Message describes this Spiritual Power as “The Generative Power”, whose effects it describes as follows:

1.   It is to help the spirit unfold its full power in the World of Matter!

2.   Only through this development does the spirit become ready for battle here on earth! It is just at this stage that responsibility sets in!

3.   At this important moment in a man’s life the wise Justice of the Creator provides not only the opportunity but also the natural urge to shake off easily and without effort any karma with which he/she has so far burdened his free will.

Abdrushin also stresses that if a man misses this opportunity, it is his fault!

Therefore, the observed idealism and melancholia of the unspoiled adolescents is not just a matter of the hormonal secretions that begin at this age. The hormones change the blood radiation* of the youth through which the connection is then made to the Generative Power that flows continually in creation.

Which now begs the question: “How are most children today being prepared to use this precious gift?”

The simple honest answer would have to be NOT AT ALL.

Yet access to, and use of this power is critical for every spiritual incarnation on earth

It is this power that confers the traits of the adult, as well as responsibility on the Spirit.

When the connection is lacking or curtailed the human being will continue to manifest the traits of the child, even when the body has become mature, – as we observe in cases that we describe as Developmentally Challenged.

Yet even such cases involve redemption measure for the Spirits thus challenged

From this little expose, hopefully we get some insight into the huge responsibility of being a parent.

Taking on the duty of being a parent means that, before the Spiritual Laws, one is accepting the responsibility of helping that child to mature towards becoming a Spiritually responsible adult.

Not many are aware of this, or even think of this responsibility before creating the conditions that lead to an incarnation of a child on to the Earth! Yet the consequences remain for those who create such opportunities

Parents are also expected to lay the foundation for a child's Spiritual development by awakening their awareness of the Spiritual Laws and the fundamental question of Life.

And this is where many fail.

Because of ignorance in these matters, parents unknowingly mislead their children and thus bind themselves to the Earth and its environs, and are as a result forced into multiple reincarnations on Earth, until they succeed in correcting an error which once misled their child. Even if this takes many generations to happen.

This example from the Lecture: “Earthbound”, in The Grail Message, illustrates the point

"A child puts some question or other to the family concerning the beyond, or about God, something it has heard in school or church. The father curtly dismisses it with the remark: “Stop such stupid nonsense! When I am dead it is all over!” The child is startled and begins to doubt. The disdainful remarks of father or mother are repeated. The child also hears the same from others, and finally accepts their opinion.

The hour now arrives when the father must pass on. He realises to his dismay that with this he has not ceased to exist. The ardent wish will now awaken within him to impart this knowledge to his child. This wish binds him to the child.

But the child neither hears him nor feels his nearness; for it now lives in the conviction that its father has ceased to exist. This stands like a firm, impenetrable wall between it and the father’s efforts. The father is obliged to witness how through him his child now takes the wrong path, which leads further and further away from the truth. To his anguish is added the fear lest the child may not be able to avoid the danger of sinking still further, a danger to which it is now more than ever exposed. At the same time all this forms the father’s so-called punishment for misleading his child.

Very seldom will he be able to bring this knowledge in any way to the notice of the child. He must witness how his wrong idea is conveyed from the child to his grandchildren and so on, all as a result of his own failing. He cannot be released until one of his descendants recognises and follows the right way and also influences the others, whereby he will gradually be freed and can begin to think about his own ascent."

Therefore, encourage your child, especially adolescent, to be interested in knowing about the spiritual messages alluded to in prophecy and rejoice when your child listens and wishes to investigate. Their lives, even their youth, will be made much richer and more meaningful.

Again, it is worth repeating that

·       Anyone who demonstrates an unwillingness to change their evil ways will no longer be allowed to continue to exist through to the end of the period of the Millennium. By their own decision and choice, such people will forfeit the full time allotted to mankind to change for good. Their condemnation will come after they have left the earth

·       Prophecies are to help man appreciate the importance and urgent need to change our evil ways. Therefore, it is just as important for children to become aware of this demand early in their incarnation on earth.

·       Given the time frame involved, any child listening will have more than ample time to grow up, enjoy and learn from their current and future lives on Earth, if they are sincere about changing.

But this does not mean that we have plenty of time left. One thousand earth years in the Spiritual context is a very brief moment in time of a Spirit’s existence.
