The Eternal Cycle of Rejuvenation

Once upon a time, the beginning of the planting season was welcomed with great joy and hope by human beings. It was attended with much celebration and religious observations, of thanksgiving to the forces that make it possible for man to reap the bounties of the Earth.
These celebrations and acknowledgement of nature was simple common sense to the human beings at the time, who lived closely connected with nature in their farming communities.
Today, especially in the more sophisticated societies, most people are many steps removed from the realities of their farming roots. For many, the super market has more relevance to them than the farm. Even farmers in the so-called advanced societies no longer feel beholden to the forces of nature, seeing as they now rely on seed suppliers, irrigation systems and fertilizers. Sometimes water is piped from hundreds of miles away, so that farmers no longer have to rely on the activity of the nature beings that produce rainfall. Also, advances in agricultural science no longer compel farmers to pray to the forces of nature for a bumper harvest, or protection from drought and diseases that can destroy their crops. Instead, the soil, water and all that it takes to grow crops are seen as inert “system inputs” that farmers can purchase to apply to their “farming operations”.
Of course, there is no disputing the benefits that have accrued to modern society through the application of science and technology to farming. Yet, any honest and sober thinker cannot but acknowledge that behind it still lies nature as the ultimate provider of every raw material that we need. For example, the water piped through the irrigation system ultimately comes from rain, melted snow, or is pumped from underground reservoirs provided by nature. Even fertilizers are synthesized from raw materials provided by nature. Therefore, does it not behoove modern man to rethink our attitude towards Nature, the ultimate provider of all that we consume directly or use as raw materials for our activities? Also would it be asking too much to investigate and try to understand the responsible use of all these gifts?
Perhaps, as we enter into the season of planting and rebirth for the year 2024, some may, with this prompting, wish to give some thought and perhaps offer silent gratitude for the selfless help that the nature beings have continued to offer man, regardless of whether we acknowledge their existence or not. This acknowledgement of the nature beings as well as their services and help would be more genuine, than waiting only until after the harvest to have a thanksgiving.
Also, as we reflect on this annually repeating cycle of the seasons, perhaps we may consider that there is a greater cycle of an annual outpouring of the Power that sustains Life and triggers the changes that we see in nature. Perhaps, too, the reverential celebrations of the ancients may have been in acknowledgement of this greater cycle, with any thought of their farming activities being secondary.
In The Grail Message, Abdrushin gives insights into these events of which modern man is no longer aware.
Anyone who wishes can reacquaint themselves with the interminable cycles of Creation, whose importance and value are lost to modern man. Through our lack of awareness, we miss out on the higher benefits that they offer for our Spiritual development. Worse yet, our ignorance puts us on collision course with forces that invariably overwhelm us.
The Earth, along with the rest of Creation, is going through this annual cycle at this time.
