Search for Answers – Part 4 - Seeing today’s crises from a spiritual perspective.

Updated: Jan 6

Summary

This text proposes a spiritual framework for understanding modern crises, defining the human essence as a spirit that exists beyond physical dimensions and linear time. Instead of relying solely on intellectual analysis, the author suggests that global and personal challenges are often the result of violating sacred principles in current or past lives. By looking inward, individuals can recognize these disruptions as opportunities for growth and restorative learning rather than mere misfortunes. This perspective shifts the focus from fear-based prophecies to personal responsibility and the logical consequences of one's actions across multiple lifetimes. Ultimately, the source argues that recognizing our spiritual roles allows for the creation of a more stable, harmonious reality for both the individual and society.

Spiritual, in the sense used here, is not from the point of view of the dogma, or doctrine of any religion. Rather, it is in the sense that a human being is Spirit. Therefore, any analysis of a crisis, or design of a solution, must understand and incorporate the principles that govern how we operate as spirits.

This perspective must take into consideration, influences, causes and connections beyond the Earthly manifestations of the crisis, because Spirit, by its very essence and nature, exists beyond the realm of the five senses, or the physical dimensions of space and time. This means that connections which lie deep in our subconscious, and which, sometimes trace their roots to former lifetimes, cannot be ignored.

A mere Intellectual analysis of problems ignores the other dimensions in which the Spirit is active and does not consider a Spirit’s full role in the process. Not even the growing acceptance of the significant impact of the subconscious mind on much of man’s actions covers the full range of a Spirit’s role. Yet, it is only from this perspective that a tenable solution to any crisis can emerge. And this requires us to look within ourselves, to see the role that we, as Spirits, play in contributing to the crisis or solution.

But, the only sources of information that acknowledge the role of the Spirit are the sacred books, and sometimes the wisdoms of the people. Both tell us that each person is always confronted with situations to which we have, in one way or another, contributed, and therefore need to overcome. They also suggest that the crisis arose because our actions violated sacred principles which caused the imbalances that manifest as chaos or lack of harmony in our life.

Thus, these teachings or folk wisdom say in effect that each Spirit forges the path for which it is responsible, and must confront again, to learn from the experience, and thereby remedy its past violation.

From this perspective, it becomes easier to see that every crisis holds an opportunity for a Spirit to learn a corrective lesson. Therefore, opportunities are always embedded for our Spiritual regeneration in any crisis.

Based on how each person responds, and the actions taken, they can change themselves, and grow spiritually, or persist on their path, and face more drastic experiences.

Because a spirit’s existence spans beyond a single earth life, the crises can be experienced while still on earth, or in the life after death, or when they are back here on Earth. Hopefully, a grasp of this fact will help to shed more light on the concepts of heaven, hell, and reincarnation that we hear so much about in many sacred books and religious teaching.

Thus, from the Spiritual perspective, focus is less on the negative outcomes associated with prophecies or predictions, as it is on the opportunity to make good. This perspective focuses on responsibilities, life’s governing principles, and consequences. The notions involved here are clearly logical and there should be no ground for debate, even by non-believers.

This perspective, hopefully, sets the stage for us to understand how it is possible for a person to cultivate a “responsible individual reality”, which can contribute to a lasting group consensus reality.
