Question: There is clearly such a diversity of abilities and views on what is right or wrong among human beings. Isn’t this proof that men are not equally endowed with abilities, or the same sense of right and wrong?
Answer: This observation is correct. But, the conclusion cannot be correct, if one believes that there is a Supreme force or Being behind Life and existence.
This response is only intended for those who believe in a Creator.
First of all, the notion of a Creator includes the concepts of Benevolence, Justice and Wisdom.
· Benevolence implies love, kindness, i.e. not hurting another person or any creature.
· Justice implies fairness i.e. equal opportunity and equity.
· Wisdom implies judgment, foresight.
Now, where is the Justice, Benevolence or Wisdom in a Creator who does not equally endow his creatures, but expects all of them to abide by the rules of engagement that stress kindness, love, fairness, and not hurting one another in their existence? Worse yet is the fact that the laws which He has woven into Creation work to “punish” violators of these principles of kindness and fair play?
Such thinking not only portrays The Creator in a ridiculous light, but also as capricious. And such thinking can rightly be deemed blasphemous!
Therefore, there must be another reason for the manifestation of diversity in abilities and views, which any observer can see among men.
But, the reader needs first to come to terms with what is said here before embarking on trying to understand why there is the diversity in the manifestation of abilities and views that is readily observed among men.
